Leading the community since 1897
Every day, in person or online
In so many ways
Through our many groups
St Peter’s Catholic church evolved from a simple mission chapel to the vibrant parish it is today. Known for our warm welcome and inclusivity,
we celebrated the centenary of the foundation of our parish in 2024.
St Philip’s Catholic church was built in 1967 and we continue to serve the community in the Offerton area with our pro-active, practical friendship and refugee support activities.
Both churches are administered by the same parish priest Fr Peter and Deacon John. Together our two parishes embody a rich history and a strong commitment to nurturing faith and community spirit.
We seek, wherever possible, to offer all visitors and users of our church equality of access along with a friendly, warm welcome.
For more information on this then please see our access document or email inclusionstpeters@gmail.com
We gather for Mass and prayer daily, both in-person and online. You are always welcome.
Our parish is made up of many different groups, each playing a role in worship, service and community life.
Welcome to our website, which I hope you’ll find helpful and informative. There is something for everyone here, and we warmly invite you to be part of our community. If you're in Hazel Grove or Offerton, join us in person, or connect with us online for services at St Peter’s. Please take a regular look at our weekly newsletter, which gives up-to-date information on parish activities and ways to support the parish. May God bless you and yours, Fr Peter
Young Isaac has prepared this helpful little video to help introduce St Peter’s church for newcomers.

Lighting a candle is a simple way to offer prayers and intentions. Whether for yourself, a loved one, or in memory of someone, your candle will be a symbol of faith and hope.
Help support the work of St Peter’s & St Philip’s so we can continue offering services, outreach and community support. Your generosity makes a difference in the lives of many and strengthens our parish for the future.
